Spread Love, Not Chemicals
The fashion industry is could be cleaner and we Mate the Label are here to clean it up. Did you know that there are over 8,000 synthetic chemicals used in clothing manufacturing? Many of these chemicals are known to be carcinogenic, endocrine disrupting and hazardous to our health. MATE is committed to using non-toxic, natural and certified Organic materials.
We GOTS You
All Organic Cotton isn't treated equal. That's why MATE strictly sources GOTS Certified Organic Cotton, which stands for the Global Organic Textile Standard. It is globally recognized to be the highest standard, including environmental and social criteria. Mate's cotton is grown in Maharashtra, India and knitted in the United States.
Carbon Footprint, It's a Thing
Mate the Label's supply chain is very localised. Ten miles to be exact. Mate's goodies are not racking up a high footprint. They are being cut, sewn, dyed, packaged and shipped from lovely people in Los Angeles.
WTF is Circularity?
Mate believe that what goes around comes around, literally. Mate are always working hard behind the scenes to offer fellow MATES the chance to return their goodies after use, so they can be recycled magically turned into a new product. Cool, right?
The Whole Package
The sustainability efforts don't just stop with Mate's clothes. Mate use 100% recycled materials for shipping mailers and boxes. They don't send any extra branded materials along with your order to help eliminate single-use waste. P.S. They are currently working on replacing our traditional plastic bag with a 100% compostable bag.
