MAGGIE ISLAND

Like many people all over the world during these Covid times, there hasn't been many holidays or confidence in booking a holiday.
My daughter and I managed to escape for a few days to Magnetic Island and had a great time.
White Bohemian embodies that endless Summer holiday feeling with fashion, accessories and home decor for every day life, even if you cant escape.

So, off to Townsville we headed and ferried across to Magnetic Island for 5 days of adventure and relaxation.
We stayed a night at the very cute old school Beach Motel on The Strand in Townsville, it was homely, clean and comfortable.

Over to Maggie Island (as the locals call it) we headed for 5 days of walking trails, exploring beaches and sailing the turquoise waters.

Horseshoe Bay is the perfect watersports location, a mix between Byron and Stradbroke Island. You can relax or hire Jetski's, Kayaks, Boats and more.
Alma Bay is a smaller bay with snorkelling and pristine gorgeous views and clear lovely water for swimming.

We managed to slip some of the new Cabo Gypsy pieces into the suit cases
which were perfectly suited for everyday wear.

If you decide to head to Magnetic Island, you have to go sailing! Our
experience with Pilgrim Sailing was unforgettable.  From sitting on the hull, relaxing on deck while we felt the calmness of the ocean, enjoying the amazing lunch which is all fresh produce from the region and having an endless glass of yummy Hunter Valley wines to jumping into the fresh blue waters, this was a day we won't forget.

Maggie Island has plenty of walking tracks and we found the Fort Walk a great experience, we saw a Koala, a Kangaroo and amazing views from the fort.

I hope this gives you a little insight into Maggie Island if you have ever thought of heading there.
We all need to take the opportunity if it arises to book a tiny escape.
The day after we returned home the news broke about Magnetic Island being a Covid hotspot, apart from being blown away by the chances of this happening, we headed straight to our local testing centre and received negative results :).
For those of you that may be worried about the test, 3 of us had no problem and didn't feel a thing :)
